Flagstaff gets a touch of all four seasons which means perfect spring and summer weather, leaves changing in the fall, and just enough snow to experience the winter. As a year round mecca for visitors, Flagstaff has skiing, hiking, mountain biking, golfing, theater, entertainment and events, shopping and art/craft fairs, and is surrounded by some of the world's natural and man-made wonders like the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Meteor Crater, Hoover Dam, Lake Powell, and the Painted Desert. The town is a major stopping point along Historic Route 66 and is a hub for the great railway system crossing the west. The local school system is very well respected and boasts a wide variety of both strong public schools as well as private and charter schools. The area has culture, outdoor recreation, and education.
